SaferBuilding

Home Depot One-Stop Shopper

Dear Sammi SaferBuilder,

I buy most of my home improvement products at Home Depot and want to practice SaferBuilding™.

Will I be able to get the necessary products at Home Depot?

Dear One Stop Shopper,

The key to buying safer products is to read labels and to know what you're looking for. You can take the relevant SaferBuilding™ Contractor Worksheets (SaferBuilding™ Construction Worksheets) with you when you go shopping.

Many SaferBuilding plumbing and tiling products can be found at Home Depot on the shelves. For the products that are not available, show the SaferBuilding Contractor Worksheets to Customer Service and ask if they might order the products for you.

Some employees not familiar with SaferBuilding, may steer you towards products that are already on the shelf that do not meet the SaferBuilding™ standards. We find it helpful to tell employees that we're working towards SaferBuilding Certification (SaferBuilding™Certification) so that they focus on the proper product rather than trying to sell us a different product.
