SaferBuilding

Renters

Are you interested in living in a SaferBuilding™ maintained property?

There are a few things to consider ...

  1. Landlord Relationship

Do you have a good relationship with your landlord (ie do you pay your rent on time; do you treat the building with tender, loving, care; does your landlord repair broken items, etc.)?

  2. Financial Sense

Will it make financial sense for your landlord? Check out the Neighborhood Disclosure Form.

  3. Tenant Responsibility

If your landlord makes the effort to keep toxic products out, then you need to take responsibility to not put them back in. Are you willing to maintain your living space less toxically if your landlord maintains the building less toxically? See the Pesticide Disclosure & Maintenance Disclosure Forms.

Next Steps

  1. If the answer to all of the above is yes, then consider asking your landlord to maintain using the SaferBuilding™ materials and methods.

  2. Checkout the Contractor How-To Guides.

  3. Refer your landlord to this site. It may improve the property value while being green.
